Complete research within the network on the future of educational development. Publish outputs including a peer-reviewed journal article. Create EDIN statement on the practice of Educational Development in the Irish context to inform educational leadership in our sector.	Paper submitted to a peer-reviewed journal in Spring 2026. Research to be presented at the ICED Conference 2026 in Salamanca. Collaboration with network ongoing to inform creation of EDIN statement on educational development practice. Objectives for 2024-25	Outcomes	Impact
Host a professional learning event to consider future possibilities for academic development. Research within the network on the future of educational development: concept mapping and focus groups.	Our professional learning event was held on 12th June 2025, facilitated by international academic Jessica Riddell who worked with EDIN colleagues to explore how her ‘Hope framework’ could help us to address challenges. You can access a co-authored reflection on the event here. Research continues with data analysis and planning publication to a peer-reviewed journal.	Research is ongoing.

Open discussion with the network on the future of educational development.	Infographic produced based on initial discussion. Research design completed and ethical approval granted. Concept map phase and two focus groups completed.	Research is ongoing.
Objectives for 2022-23	Outcomes	Impact
Objectives were discussed and formulated by the network (noting that at present, sources of external funding are not available). The theme of sustainable development was agreed and three sub-groups formed to examine this theme within educational development and the work of EDIN.	Sub-groups implemented and completed their activities including running a number of events and workshops.	Positive feedback was received from the network members and others participating in the workshops and events.

Progression and completion of work on the Emerging Issues IV publication.	Emerging Issues IV published as an open access publication to this website.
Objectives for 2019-20	Outcomes	Impact
Storyboarding and technical implementation of EDIN Impact Analysis Tool. Complete development and release to support educational developers with the evaluation of the impact of their work.	Open access resource to support design of evaluation studies for educational development projects, initiatives and events, for release in May 2020.	Two working groups led by Clare Gormley who has also undertaken technical implementation. Delivered May 2020.
